Vulture Hoods!!
We may all know the story about Robin hood and his band of "merry men", now this was a guy who was known as a "Saxon noble", (A "Saxon noble" is a person who is a member of the Saxon ethnic group and who holds a title of nobility).He often used his cunning ways and skills to steal from the rich and give to the poor,he then began to get little help with a group of men he call his "merry men".
Now in our modern world,we have Vulture Hoods,these are rich people who steal from the poor and give to the already rich,these vultures inculde polititcians,business owners,doctors,insurance places,airline compaines and lets just say almost all rich folks out there..
Lets start with politics..our dear ex prime minister (Mr Patrick Manning) and his merry men aka cabinet members ,once got on live tv and said out economy is in a bad state and over the next few years we can rebuild it,a few weeks after he said that comment he then brought a new private jet(total cost TT$63M) using our hard earned tax payers dollars,right after that he then built a private house which he calls "the prime ministers residence" (total cost TT$38M dollars) and lets dont forget the TT$3M drapes he added a few months later..oh and who can forget our TT$2M flag that has a huge hole in it..our Hyatt Hotel (cost unknown)..
Mr. Manning is one of our most famour vultures,thank god he is out of office now...all of those millions could have help developed out country and created jobs,or put to better use..
What about those doctors that give you the "run around",how many of us visit a doctor and end up spending way more that is really needed?lets see..most of us right..
about a year ago i had a doctors visit,cost of the visit $300.,this was just for a check up,after my visit i was handed a list of medications/vitamins i needed,which cost $800. come on,what can someone do with $800. im medications?after all this,he then told me i needed to come back once every two weeks for more visits!and i can tell you,i was 100%fine,i needed no medications.
And finally i'll talk a little about those airline compaines,here in the caribbean is cost you about $1500,to visit barbados via caribbean airlines,however it should cost only $300,thats the cost from our new airline company "red jet"..
These vultures are everywhere,they are our modren day bandits..
look out for them,and sadly most of us just sit there and say nothing. why?
